The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Jan. 13 before the Honorable Derek Weimer:
Valente Acosta-Simental, 54, of Sidney, appeared for a status on a charge of distribution of methamphetamine, which is a Class II felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted distribution of methamphetamine, which is a Class IIA felony.
Nicholas Reinhart, 25, of Sidney, appeared for a bond review on amended charges of obstruction and resisting arrest. Bond was lowered to $5,000 with 10 percent allowed.
Benjamin Anderson, 43, of Sterling, Colo., appeared for a status hearing on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, which is a Class ID felony. A status hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Jan. 13.
Roger Stuart, 63, of Potter, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of distribution of marijuana, which is a Class III felony. A jury trial is set for April 18.
Garrett Nelson, 21, of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on amended charges of thid degree assault: fight by mutual consent, which is a Class II misdemeanor. He pleaded guilty. Sentencing is set for Jan. 19.
Jonathan Jackson, 21, formerly of Dalton, appeared for a status hearing on a motion to revoke probation on charges of attempted terroristic threats and criminal trespass, both Class I misdemeanors. He admitted to violating his probation and received 180 days in jail with credit for 74 days.
Brian Heasley, 21, of Des Moines, Iowa, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver/distribute, which is a Class III felony. He received five years intensive supervised probation.
Daniel Gonzalez, 39, of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on two counts of possession of methamphetamine, which are both Class IV felonies. Status hearings were continued to 10:30 a.m. on March 2.
Leif Schlieker, 29, formerly of Sidney, appeared via counsel for a status hearing on a charge of distribution of marijuana, which is a Class III felony. A jury trial is set for Feb. 18-19. A pre-trial conference is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 3.

Isidro Alvarado, 25, of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on two charges of a felon in possession of deadly weapons, which are both Class III felonies. Another status hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 3.
Bert Saxton, 58, of North Platte, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of DUI third high, which is a Class IIIA felony. A status hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. on March 2.
Joshua Manchester, 35, of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a two-count charge of failure to verify his registration as a sex offender, which are both Class IV felonies. Pursuant to a plea agreement, he pleaded to one count. A PSI was ordered. Sentencing is set for Feb. 9.
