Potter-Dix remained unbeaten with a pair of wins over the weekend, while Creek Valley and Leyton also picked up victories.
Potter-Dix 61, Bayard 32
Potter-Dix 50, South Platte 22
Potter-Dix improved to 7-0 with a pair of wins over the weekend.
It didn't take long for the Lady Coyotes to shake off the Christmas break rust as they rolled to a 61-32 home win over Bayard on Friday. It was their first game since a Dec. 18 win over Caliche, Colo.
Alexus Rozelle powered Potter-Dix offensively with 14 points in the win. Dawson Sharman and Cortney Lewis added 11 points each.
Trinity Langley led the team defensively with 14 rebounds, and was just one point short of a double-double with nine points offensively. Audrey Juelfs dished out a team-high 10 assists and also had a pair of steals for the Lady Coyotes.
Potter-Dix outscored South Platte 27-5 in the first half as they went on to a 50-22 road victory on Saturday.
Langley led the team with 15 points, while Payge Hoffman added eight points in the win.
Rozelle and Langley tied for the team with seven rebounds each, while Hoffman chipped in with six. Sharman led the team with four steals.
The Lady Coyotes return to action Tuesday when they host Kimball.
Creek Valley 43, Minatare 11
Creek Valley jumped out to the early lead and rolled to a 43-11 win at Minatare on Saturday.
Andi Ortgies powered the Storm on both ends of the court, picking up a double-double to lead the team with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Jessie Straber added nine points for Creek Valley, while Joey Straber chipped in with six points. Jessie Straber also led the team with eight steals and three assists.
The Storm took a 7-1 first quarter lead and held a 16-6 advantage at halftime. They outscored Minatare 27-5 in the second half.
Creek Valley is back in action Tuesday with a game at Haxtun.
Leyton 56, Hay Springs 33
Leyton exploded for 24 third-quarter points to break a halftime tie en route to a 56-33 win Saturday over Hay Springs.
The game was knotted at 16-all at the break when the Lady Warriors (6-2) outscored the visitors 24-8 to take a commanding lead. Leyton outscored Hay Springs 40-17 in the second half.

Leyton is back in action Tuesday at Bridgeport.
Briggsdale 74, Peetz 25
Merino 58, Peetz 21
Peetz dropped a pair of games over the weekend, falling to Briggsdale and Merino.
Briggsdale jumped out to a 23-4 first quarter advantage as it rolled to the win at Peetz. The visiting team led 41-13 at halftime and outscored the Lady Bulldogs 33-12 in the second half.
The Lady Bulldogs suffered a similar fate Saturday as homestanding Merino jumped out to a big early lead in the win. Merino led 21-4 after the first quarter and held a 32-4 halftime lead.

Peetz (2-7) returns to play Friday with a 6 p.m. home contest against Fleming.
