The Lady Storm cruised to victory over Perkins County on Monday, thanks mostly to the deft scoring of Jessie Straber. The junior tallied up 13 points off six baskets and a 1-of-2 performance at the line. She also grabbed seven steals, three rebounds and dished two assists.

A big help to Straber and the other players on the floor all night was Payje Misegadis, as she nabbed six steals, made three assists and led the team with eight rebounds.

Freshman Jordyn Koenen also had a big game with eight points, six rebounds and a steal.

Koenen was also deft at ducking defenders down the floor as she avoided any steals throughout four quarters of play.

Other scorers for Creek Valley were: Jaden Criswell (7), Joey Straber (6), Andi Ortgies (4), Samantha Schmid (2) and Madison McFee (2).

The Lady Storm are now 4-3 overall and will face Sandhills-Thedford today at 5:30 p.m. in Grant.
