The Peetz Lady Bulldogs ripped the Pawnee Lady Coyotes on Friday, besting the visitors on a final score of 49-25.
Mikenna Curlee scored a season-high 18 points in the win. She also had five rebounds, two assists and three steals.
It was a seesaw game for Peetz as the Lady Bulldogs cruised to a 37-4 lead at the half. That lead evaporated in the second half, however, as Pawnee used a 21-12 run to threaten, though Peetz’s defense would hold on for the win.
The win ups Peetz’s record to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in 1A North Central standings.
In addition to Curlee, Jodie Schumacher was also in double digits with 10 points, which included a pair of three-pointers.
Other scorers were: Payton Swedlund (6), Abby White (4), Sarah Davis (3), Makeala Hill (2), Baylie Hradecky (2) and Cami Thompson (2).
On defense, Swedlund led along with Curlee on three steals and two assists.
Peetz will travel to Haxtun, Colo., tomorrow with tip-off set for 6 p.m.
