The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Nov. 4 before the Honorable Derek Weimer:

Daniel Gonzalez, 39, of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on two counts of possession of methamphetamines, which are both Class IV felonies. Status hearings were continued to 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 4.

Valente Acosta-Simental, 54, of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of distribution of methamphetamines, which is a Class II felony. A status hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 8.

Edward Miller, 39, formerly of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on a charge of theft, which is a Class IV felony. He received 12 to 36 months incarceration and was ordered to pay $350 in restitution and $1,100 in court costs.

Antonio Flores, 44, of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of possession of methamphetamines, which is a Class IV felony. He pleaded guilty. An abbreviated PSI was ordered and sentencing was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 10.

Devan Cook, 22, of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on a charge of attempted possession of methamphetamines, which is a Class I misdemeanor. She received 36 months probation.

Antonia Ochoa, 50, of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of possession of methamphetamines, which is a Class I misdemeanor. A status hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 16.

Mylissa Pennington, 21, of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on an amended charge of attempted possession of illegal mushrooms (times two), attempted possession of marijuana over 1 pound and obstruction, which are all Class I misdemeanors. A PSI was ordered. Sentencing is set for 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 8.

Cody Bratton, 23, of Sterling, Colo., appeared for arraignment on charges of distribution of marijuana and distribution of alprazolam, which are Class III and IIIA felonies, respectively. He pleaded to an amended charge of distribution of alprazolam. A PSI was ordered. Sentencing is set for 10 a.m. on Dec. 8.

Leif Schlieker, 29, of Sidney, appeared via his attorney for a status hearing on a charge of distribution of marijuana, which is a Class III felony. A status hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Dec. 8.

Raymond Maestas III, of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of DUI first offense, which is a Class W misdemeanor. He received 18 months probation, 100 hours of community service, a $500 fine plus court costs and one day in jail.

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Nov. 4 before the Honorable Randin Roland:

Devan Cook, 22, of Sidney, appeared for presentment on a charge of distribution of marijuana, which is a Class III felony. A preliminary hearing was set for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 6.

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Nov. 6 before the Honorable Randin Roland:

Christopher Petri, 27, of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on a theft case, which is a Class I misdemeanor. He received six months jail time which will be served consecutively to the next case.

Christopher Petri, 27, of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on a charge of obstruction, a Class I misdemeanor. He received nine months of jail time.

Devan Cook, 22, of Sidney, appeared for a preliminary hearing on a charge of possession of methamphetatimes, which is a Class IV felony. The case was bound over and arraignment was scheduled 10 a.m. on Nov. 10.
