A memorial account has been set up at American National Bank (Main Bank and Drive up locations) for Tabitha Davis. Donations can be made to: “Tabitha Davis Memorial Fund” to help defray expenses and to benefit twin daughters “Emmersynne Joy & Ellyeaunnah Grace”.

Wednesday, Nov. 11

A special Veterans Day ceremony will be held at Leyton High School in Dalton. Refreshments will be provided at 10 a.m. The National Guard, color guard, keynote speakers as well as a P.O.W. and M.I.A. ceremony will be included in the event. The ceremony will follow in the Leyton High School gym. Sponsored by Mintken Davidson Post 301.

Friday, Nov. 13

Pairs-N-Half-A-Pair Square Dance Club will have a 50s Dance at the IOOF Hall in Gering from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with Lucky calling and PLUS dancing from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

The Sidney Elks Lodge #1894 (located at 10th & Jackson) will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner on Sunday, Nov., 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is for all Elks Members, D.O.E.S. and their families. Tuesday, Nov. 17

American National Bank will be hosting its annual Teacher Appreciation Business After Hours at the Hillside Grill on Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Door prizes, h’orderves and adult beverages. Open to the public.

The Jr. Friends of the Library will be meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Sidney Public Library at 5:30 p.m. This group welcomes youth in 7th through 12th grades and emphasizes community involvement.
