The Panhandle Area Development District (PADD) and Panhandle Resource Conservation and Development District (Panhandle RC&D) has hired Jeff Kelley as executive director as of Nov. 2. Kelley will sere as executive director for both organizations.
Kelley brings 17 years of experience as a community development block grant administrator and housing specialist, in addition to his economic development experience.
Kelley is a native of Omaha and a graduate of University of Nebraska at Kearney (Kearney State College). In 1981, he married the former Katy Begley of Morrill. She recently retired after 34 years of teaching in Gering. They have two daughters, Sara of Firestone, Colo., and Molly of Gering, and a granddaughter, Ellie.
Kelley’s interests are announcing high school football and basketball and American Legion baseball. He has been on the Western Nebraska All Star board for 30 years and held the position of president on two occasions. His hobbies include watching sports and playing golf.
