Court Briefs 10-15-15

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Oct. 13, 2015, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:

Garrett Nelson, age 21 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of strangulation, a class IV felony. Status hearing set for Nov. 4 at 9 a.m.

Daniel Gonzalez, age 39 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on two counts of possession of methamphetamine, both class IV felonies. Status hearings continued to Nov. 4 at 10:30 a.m.

Jacquelyn Lane, age 33 of Potter, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of DUI 3rd High Test, a class IIIA felony. She received a five years Intensive Supervised Probation, driver’s license revoked for 10 years, 60 days in jail with credit for two days served and a $1,000 fine plus court costs.

Chance Harmon, age 20 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of attempted distribution of marijuana, a class IV felony. He received 36 months probation, 100 hours of community service, one day in jail with one day credit plus court costs.

Tyson Bockhahn, age 24 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of attempted distribution of marijuana, a class IV felony. He received five years intensive supervised probation, four days in jail plus was ordered to pay $120 in restitution.

Justin Grimm, age 22 formerly of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of two counts of attempted possession of marijuana over one pound, both class I misdemeanors. He received 36 months probation, 100 hours of community service, 22 days in jail with credit for 22 days plus court costs.

Mark Lohman, age 30 of Sidney, appeared via his attorney for a status hearing on a charge of theft, a class IV felony. Status hearing continued to Nov. 10 at 10 a.m.

Jeremy Lohman, age 32 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of possession of a weapon by a prohibited person and possession of hashish, a class III and IV felony respectively. Pursuant to a plea agreement, he pleaded no contest to the possession of hashish charge. Judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation. Sentencing set for Dec. 2 at 10 a.m.

Brian Heasley, age 34 of Waterloo, Iowa, appeared via counsel for a status hearing on sentencing on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent, a class III felony. Status hearing continued to Dec. 8 at 1 p.m.
