Lady Raiders finish third at state golf

The Sidney High School girls’ golf team finished third at the Class B state tournament on Tuesday at Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus.

And, the Lady Raiders had an impressive three medalists – the top 15 individuals earn medals – along the way.

Sidney, with a two-day team score of 733, was third – behind champion Omaha Duchesne (717) and Scottsbluff (727). Gretna (782) was a distant fourth in the 12-team field.

It was Omaha Duchesne’s first state title in any sport in 13 years.
