Sidney boys take 2nd place

The Sidney High School boys' cross country team took second place and the girls' squad finished third at the annual Sidney Invite on Thursday afternoon at the Hillside Golf Course.

Will Castner, Collin Brauer and Kaden Vowers all had top-10 finishes in the boys' varsity race.

For the Lady Raiders, Abby Heller, Charlie Brockhaus, Mia Hernandez and Jolene Oliverius all cross the top in the top 10 in the girls' varsity race.

Fort Morgan (Colo.) won the team title in both the boys' and girls' varsity divisions.

Sidney's Keaton Wakefield won the boys' junior varsity race. The Raider boys' and girls' JV teams both won titles.

Next up for Sidney is the District C-4 meet at West Winds Golf Course in Ogallala on Thursday. The top qualifiers there advance to the state meet the following week.
