Barry "Buttons" Dwain Madden, 63, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at V.A. hospital in Albuquerque, N.M. Barry was born August 11, 1951 in Laramie to Dwain and Ellen Madden.
He joined the Army in February of 1970, he served a tour in Vietnam. He was a Wyoming boy through and through. He loved the Wyoming Cowboys and NASCAR racing. He married Linda Martinez in Wheatland, Wyo. on April 12, 1975. They had two children, Gypsie and Vincent. He lived in the Centennial Valley and worked in the mines for years. In September of 2009 he married Gina Otto in Las Vegas, where Barry worked at Timet for over 25 years.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Barry is survived by his mother, Ellen Madden of Sheridan, wife, Gina of Albuquerque, N.M., daughter, Gypsie of Stafford, Ariz., son, Vincent of Amado, N.M. His siblings, Nora (Peter) Christiansen of Las Vegas, Cindy (Kelly) Jones of Flint, TX, Randy (Jeanette) Madden of Laramie, Bonnie (Fred) Nuss of Sheridan and Doug Madden of Laramie, and granddaughter Genevieve of Stafford, Ariz.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015 at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home with The Reverend Rachel Larson officiating. Inurnment will be held at Greenhill Cemetery following the service with military rites by the Wyoming National Guard and the Laramie Veterans Honor Guard.
