The Sidney High School girls’ golf team collected a second-place finish at the Alliance Invite on Saturday.
The Lady Raiders’ Emma Alexander shot to a team-best 83, which was good for fourth place overall. Teammate Rachel Blauert carded an 85 and took fifth overall.
Scottsbluff won the team title with score of 357, six shots better than Sidney’s 363. Ogallala was third with a 399. In all, 15 teams competed.
Chadron’s Alpine Hickstein took home medalist honors with a 74. Scottsbluff teammates Shelby Poynter (79) and Hannah Holloway (82) finished second and third respectively.
Other Sidney golfers included: Megan Neal (91), Taylor Parsons (104) and Paige Langley (123).
The Lady Raiders are back in action Wednesday at Columbus. Tee times start at 9 a.m. CDT.
