CHAPPELL – The Creek Valley Storm football team slipped to 0-3 on the season with a 54-12 setback to the South Platte Blue Knights at home Friday night.

The Knights (1-1) jumped out to an 8-0 lead after the first quarter before the Storm got on the board in the second 12 minutes. By halftime, Creek Valley trailed 26-6 before a nearly identical outcome in the second half when South Platte outscored the Storm 54-12.

Josh Schievelbein was the Storm's principal offensive force as he rushed for 98 yards on 20 carries. Freshman Austin Soucie ran for 30 yards on just two carries. Junior Austin Rowley's return to the team proved beneficial as he scored one of the Storm's two touchdowns. Quarterback Pierce Leef tallied the other six-pointer.
