Red Raiders improve to 3-0 with win over Hastings
The Sidney High School football team held on for a 38-27 victory over Hastings on Friday night in its home opener at Weymouth Field.
With Sidney clinging to a four-point lead with less than a minute to play and Hastings driving for the potential winning score, sophomore Coby Haas intercepted a pass and returned it 80 yards the other way for a touchdown to lock uo the win.
The Red Raiders, who improved to 3-0, trailed at halftime for the first time this season, but put together a strong offensive rally in the third quarter.
