Serenity Café hosts 'The Curly Wolf Art Show'

Art, music, coffee and friends: the ingredients of "The Curly Wolf Art Show." Serenity Café in downtown Sidney will host the free art show on Friday, Sept. 11.

Eight local artists from the Cheyenne County area will present their pieces to the public. Several different mediums will be included in the show, such as paintings, sculptures, illustrations and photography. Local musician Ben Carey will also perform.

"We were trying to get a cross section of art from the community and the arts that are happening from this area," said art show coordinator Patrick McNabb. "This is really just the start of more things to come. Serenity Café allows us to do the open mic nights on the fourth Friday of every month, so hopefully this will become a community event. Sidney is becoming the melting pot of Western Nebraska and it just makes sense to take advantage of community affairs like this, especially when they are free. Collectively as a community we can make this happen."

The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. and conclude at 10 p.m.
