Court Briefs 09-03-15

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 before the Honorable Randin Roland:

Garrett Nelson, age 21 of Sidney, appeared for presentment on a charge of Accessory to a Felony, a class IV felony. Preliminary hearing was set for Sept. 10 at 2:30 p.m.

Robbillee Peppersack, age 27 of Nashville, Tenn., appeared for a preliminary hearing on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance: Adderall, a class IV felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement, she pleaded guilty to an amended complaint of attempted possession of Adderall, a class I misdemeanor.

Brandy Parrissenti, age 28 of Sidney, appeared for a preliminary hearing on a charge of Possession of Psilocybin Mushrooms, a class IV felony. She waived the preliminary hearing. Arraignment set in District Court for Sept. 8 at 8:30 a.m.

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, before the Honorable Randin Roland:

Justin Grimm, age 22 of Scottsbluff, appeared for a status hearing on two charges of Attempted Possession of Marijuana over one pound, both class I misdemeanors. Pursuant to a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty. Judge ordered a PSI. Sentencing set for Oct. 13 at 1:30 p.m.

Shawn Fromm, age 27 of Greely, Colo., appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Cyclobenzaprine, a class IV felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to Attempted Possession of Cyclobenzaprine, a class I misdemeanor. He received four days in jail and a $500 fine.

Josh Curry, age 30 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine, a class IV felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to amended charge of Attempted Possession of Methamphetamine, a class I misdemeanor. He received 105 days in jail.

Mylyssa Pennington, age 19 formerly of Lodgepole and now of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Destruction of Evidence, a class IV felony. Status hearing set for Oct. 13 at 10 a.m.

Troy Christofferson, age 18 of Alliance, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Burglary, a class III Felony. Jury trial was set for Sept. 21 and a pre-trial hearing was set for Sept. 8.

Raymond Maestas III, age 34 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI 3rd High Test, a class IIIA felony. Status hearing set for Oct. 13 at 9:30 a.m.

Jason Cagle, age 32 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Terroristic Threats, a class IV felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to attempted terroristic threats and resisting arrest, both class I misdemeanors. PSI ordered. Sentencing set for Nov. 10 at 10 a.m.

The following person appeared in Kimball County District Court on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, before the Honorable Derek C. Weimer:

Shawn L. Mannon, age 39 of Kimball, pleaded no contest to Delivery of Methamphetamine, a class II felony. Sentencing was scheduled for Nov. 6 at 2 p.m.

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, before the Honorable Derek C. Weimer:

Gabriel Martinez, age 50 of Longmont, Colo., pleaded no contest to Enticement by Electronic Device, a class IV felony. Sentencing was scheduled for Oct. 13 at 10 a.m.

Tina Sifuentez, age 46 of Dalton, was sentenced to 24 months probation for Attempted Possession of Methamphetamine, a class I misdemeanor. The probation conditions include: 100 hours of community service, $500 fine, two days in jail – with credit for two days already served – and pay $177.20 in court costs.
