Red Raiders roll to 41-7 victory at Chadron
CHADRON, Neb. -- The Sidney High School football team got off to a fast start Friday night en route to a 41-7 victory over Chadron on the road in the season opener.
Chadron scored on its first possession to take a 7-0 lead, but the Red Raiders then reeled off 41 unanswered points.
Sidney junior Alex Linneman got things started when he took the ball 85 yards on his team's first offensive play of the season. He finished with 128 yards on six carries and two touchdowns.
Teammates Jake Heeren, Derek Robb, Tyler Wintholz and Coby Haas all added TDs for Sidney.
Sidney quarterback Brady Radcliffe was 8 of 15 passing for 85 yards and two interceptions.
Chadron committed six turnovers and were flagged for 11 penalties in the game.
