The Bridge Marathon will begin playing again in September. Each pair plays once a month with different opponent and keeps a cumulative score through May. Runza Restaurants will conduct its 13th annual Great Books for Great Kids fundraiser on Tuesday, Aug. 25. Fifteen percent of sales that day from all locations will be donated. The money benefits local libraries, schools and literacy organizations and be used to purchase children’s books.
The Nebraska Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual legislative forum on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 7 a.m. at Dude’s Steakhouse in Sidney. The presentation will include key business-related bills from the 2015 session, upcoming issues and workforce challenges. Call (308) 254-5851 for reservations.

There is continuous free entertainment in the tent at the Cheyenne Fairgrounds, a beer garden, ethnic food, craft show, downtown parade, farmer’s market, live dance bands Friday and Saturday, a car show and wiener dog races.
