Brian J. Linneman, an executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for Cabela’s, will become a strategic advisor to the company, effective Aug. 31.
Linneman has been with Cabela’s for 17 years and has been the CMO since January 2010. Prior to that role, he held various positions including corporate logistics manager, director of strategic projects, vice president of strategic projects and MIS, vice president and chief operating officer and senior vice president of global supply chain and operations.
“Brian has made significant contributions to Cabela’s over the past 17 years,” said Tommy Millner, Cabela’s chief executive officer. “We are pleased to have him continue to contribute to the company as a strategic advisor.”
Scott K. Williams will be promoted to executive vice president and chief commercial officer. The merchandising department, along with marketing, e-commerce, real estate and strategy, will report to Williams in his new role.
Senior Vice President of Merchandising Roger Verhulst, who has been with Cabela’s for more than 20 years, will continue to lead the company’s merchandising teams and report to Williams.
