Sidney First United Methodist Church is leaving the building for Worship In The Park on Sunday morning worship this week at 9:30 a.m. Services will be held in Memorial Gardens Gazebo in Legion Park. A pot-luck dinner in the picnic shelter by the pond will follow. Bring a dish to share and lawn chairs. Everyone is invited.

The Bertrum O’Connor municipal swimming pool in Sidney will close for the season on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Thursday, Aug. 13
The Table of Grace food pantry in Sidney will be changing days and time. Registration will be moving to the third Thursday at 5 p.m. The August food pantry will be Thursday, Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. Pantries in Sidney will continue to take place on the third Thursday of the month for the remainder of 2015. Friday, Aug. 14
The 2015 Night of Hope Walk for Cancer event will be held on Aug. 14 from 5:30-10 p.m. in Sidney’s Legion Park. Plan for an evening of great memories, friendship and fun as the walk honors those with cancer and remembers those who have lost the battle. A BBQ will be served. The Survivor’s lap will be at 6 p.m. with the TEAM Jack Autographed football raffle, silent auction, chair-ity auction, slide show and reading of the luminaries to follow. Saturday, Aug. 15
The village of Bushnell will host the Windblown Arts Festival on Saturday, Aug. 15. The Sisters Grimm – Bushnell’s bookstore and coffee shop – is hosting the evnt with live music, food, crafts and a beer garden catered by Kimball’s Beer and Loathing. There is no cover charge.
