Court Briefs 06-22-15

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Friday, June 19, 2015, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:

Kyle Gibson, age 25 of Kimball and Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of attempted possession of methamphetamine, class I misdemeanor. He received 24 months intensive supervised probation.

Misty Beutler, age 32 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of witness tampering, a class IV felony. She received four years probation, 100 hours of community service and a $500 fine.

Abel Domingo Jeronimo, age 38 of Sidney, pleaded guilty to criminal attempt of failing to stop, disclose information and render assistance in accident involving death, a class IV felony. The court accepted the plea, ordered a presentence investigation and scheduled sentencing for Aug. 5 at 10 a.m.

Johnny Creekpaum, age 43 of Sterling, Colo., was sentenced to the maximum sentence of 12 months in the Cheyenne County Jail for violation of a protection arder, a class I misdemeanor.

Tina L. Sifuentez, age 46 of Dalton, pleaded no contest to criminal attempt of possession of methamphetamine, a class I misdemeanor. Sentencing is scheduled for July 21 at 4:30 p.m.

Shawn D. Fromm, age 27 of Greeley, Colo., appeared for arraignment on the charge of possession of a controlled substance (cyclobenzaprine), a class IV felony. A status hearing is scheduled for Aug. 5 at 9:30 a.m.
