A single-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon five miles north of Sidney left a dump truck loaded with discarded roofing materials on its side, according to the Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office. The truck, travelling east along County Road 32, left the road to the south before the driver overcorrected, resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway to the north, rolling and spilling its load. The crash occurred around 1:40 p.m. According to an accident report, there were no injuries and the driver – the sole occupant – was wearing a seat belt. The truck, owned by a Gering-based roofing company, was totaled in the crash.
