Saturday, June 6

The second annual Leyton Warrior Challenge will be held Saturday, June 6 beginning at 8 a.m. at Leyton High School in Dalton. Proceeds will be used for the resurfacing of the Leyton Elemenatry/Junior High playground. There will be an adult full obstacle course as well as a kids’ course. June 9-13

The Nebraska Chautauqua will present a series featuring six famous characters from United States history from June 9-13. The theme for this year’s Chautauqua, first person portrayals of historical figures, will explore the vast influences of the 1862 legislation. Gold Rush 5K at Legion Park

8:05 p.m. – Kid’s 1-mile run, 8:15 p.m. – 5K walkers, 8:30 p.m. – 5K runners. Awards held at 9:15 p.m. Bring a chair, s’more’s fixings and hot dogs to roast over the camp fire and listen to stories. June 20 and 21

The Annual Father’s Day Classic 3-man Scramble will be held June 20-21 at the Four Winds Golf Course. No handicap is needed. There is an entry fee that includes two rounds of golf and an evening meal on Saturday. Call the pro shop at (308) 235-4241 for more information.

Saturday, June 27

The Potter Car Bowl will be held Saturday, June 27 with activities for the entire family. Events include a car show, duckpin bowling tournament, bull riding competition, golf tournament and a melodrama and dinner. For more information, call (308) 879-4451.
