The Sidney Public Library will kick off the Summer Reading Program on Friday, May 29 at the library, located at 1112 12th Ave. Signups begin at 6:30 p.m., and a family movie will follow at 7 p.m. Bring blankets and low lawn chairs, and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Gold Rush 5K at Legion Park

8:05 p.m. - Kid’s 1 Mile Run, 8:15 p.m. - 5k Walkers, 8:30 p.m. 5K Runners, 9:15 p.m. - Awards. The Gold Rush Committee would like to invite you to bring a chair, s’more’s fixings and hot dogs to roast over the camp fire and listen to stories.
