Howitt excited to be in new role
The Leyton Public School District has landed an educvation veteran as its new principal. Lance Howitt will take over that position when the new school year starts in August.
Howitt, who has 26 years of experience in the education field, taught business, middle school social studies and was the head football coach at Stuart (Neb.) Public Schools. Howitt htaught and coached in Stuart for 12 years.
Howitt takes over for James McGown, who resigned to take the job as superintendent for the Brady (Neb.) Public School District.
