Led by freshman Connor Dormann, the Sidney High School golf team won its first meet of the season on Tuesday at the Cozad Invitational.
Dormann earned top medalist honors after he fired his best competitive round of the year with a 78 at the Cozad Country Club. In addition, the Red Raiders had three other medalists including Nate Dvorak (84), Brady Radcliffe (87) and Jake Burke (88).
The Red Raiders’ team total was 337, which was seven strokes better than runner-up Gothenburg.
Sidney has one more challenge before districts on May 18. The Raiders will compete at the Ogallala Invite on Thursday at 9 a.m.
