Colorado state baseball tournament postponed

The Peetz Bulldogs’ regional baseball game with the Community Christian Crusaders, scheduled for Saturday at All-Star Park in Lakewood, Colo., has been postposed until Tuesday.

Because inclement weather is expected this weekend, the Colorado High School Activities Association decided to make the move. The Bulldogs will now meet the Crusaders at 12:30 p.m. at All-Star Park on Tuesday, May 12. Should Peetz win, it would play again at 3 p.m.

The championship game will also be postponed from its original schedule date of Thursday at 11 a.m. The date and venue for the championship game will be determined by the CHSAA following the opening-round games on Tuesday. The movement of the championship game was done as a precaution to pitchers so that they would have sufficient time to rest their arms.

The venue for the championship game will be determined with consideration to the teams involved. It is possible the game will not be held at All-Star Park.
