Class 1A schools from around the state descended on Limon, Colo. on Saturday with the annual 1A Invitational. More than 30 teams showed up with Springfield taking the boys’ title while Shining Mountain ruled the girls’ meet.
Boosted again by its strong relay teams, the Peetz boys finished in a tie for ninth place with 34 points. The girls picked up up all their five points in the 4x800-meter relay.
Besides their success in the relays, the Bulldogs also had two individual placers. Cody Wilson, a sophomore, was just .08 from victory in the 400 meters. He did, however, break another school record...
