Paulene Eleanor (Roth) Hines-Gove was born on Dec. 13, 1928 in Winner, S.D. to Frank and Dorothy Roth. The family later moved to Gordon, Neb. where Paulene attended school and was proud to have been a drum majorette. She married Dwaine Goshorn and to this union was born Sanford Goshorn. After high school she attended beauty college in California. She later moved to Oshkosh, where she met and married William Hines. To this union William Jr. and Dawn were born. While raising her children she owned and operated Paulene's Beauty Shop in Oshkosh for over 30 years. She later married Franklyn Gove in Lisco. After his death in 1999 and in the face of her declining health she moved to Kearney to live with her son, Bill. In 2002, she moved to California to live with her granddaughter, Jennifer, and then moved to Seattle with them and lived until she returned to Oshkosh and entered the nursing home where she spent the remainder of her life.
