Girls Day Out will be held Saturday, April 18. Breakfast will be served from 8-10 a.m., registration takes place 10 a.m.-noon. Goodie bags are filled with items and coupons from participating merchants. Box lunches will be available for purchase. Call the Chamber at (308) 254-5851 with questions.
Light Memorial Presbyterian Church (1345 Linden St.) Rummage and Bake Sale Fundraiser for building maintenance fund. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We will accept donations of items for the sale. Call the church 254-5675 or Chris 249-0539 to arrange drop off.
The Panhandle Quilt Guild will meet on Saturday, April 18 at 9:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Chadron. Bring a sack lunch and after the meeting, the group will attend the Chadron Quilt Show, “Festival of Quilts.” Contact Lori Sanders at (308) 631-6527 for carpooling.

The Nancy Fawcett Memorial Library in Lodgepole will hold a “Jigsaw Puzzle” tournament on Sunday, April 19 from 1-5 p.m. Teams consist of two adults. Registration ends March 23 at 5 p.m.
Tuesday, April 21
Ever thought of getting involved in the community and being a part of something important? Then plan to attend A Night Of Hope Walk For Cancer’s “Meet and Greet” on Tuesday April 21st at 5:30pm in the basement of the First United Methodist Church located at 2622 11th Ave. in Sidney. Please use the north door. Anyone interested in being a part of the preparations for this year’s cancer walk or just want to learn more about what Night of Hope is all about is encouraged to attend. The Administrative Professionals Day luncheon will be held Wednesday, April 22 from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Security First Bank’s conference room. Cost is $20 per person. Lunch and gifts provided to all who attend. For reservations, RSVP to the Chamber at (308) 254-5851 by April 15.

Kindergarten registration for Leyton Public Schools for the 2015-’16 school year will take place Friday, April 24 from 9-11 a.m. Children must turn 5 on or before July 31, 2015. Call (308) 884-2247 to schedule an appointment.
Saturday, April 25
A health fair will be held Saturday, April 25 from 7-11 a.m. at the Cheyenne County Community Center. Sidney Regional Medical Center and 9 Health will host the annual health fair, blood screenings and other health-related screenings. Contact Tammy Meier at (308) 254-5073 for more information.
The “Colorful Peetz Fun Run” will be held Saturday, April 25 at 9 a.m. Options for a 5K or 1-mile route. The cost is $25 for adults, $15 for ages 5-17 and free for 0-4 year olds.

Join us on April 28th at 7 p.m. at the Sidney High School Auditorium as Cheyenne County CASA presents “A Night of Music”. This fund raiser event will feature local talent. The Great Trash Race will be held Saturday, May 2 from 9-11 a.m., beginning at Hickory Street Square. Free T-Shirt for those who register before April 24.
