Nearly 400 people visited the Comedy Pit at the Elk's Lodge on Saturday to watch Josh Blue's show.
"It's great so many of you came out tonight," Blue told his audience. "I didn't know this many people lived out here."
After 2006, when Blue won his season of the television competition "Last Comic Standing," his career has skyrocketed with several more television opportunities and a comedic act that travels the country. Although he hadn't been to Sidney before, he said he enjoyed the experience.
When asked if he'd return, he said, "Yes! I had a great time in Sidney. Everyone needs to laugh."
The opening act was performed by Nathan Lund, who is also a Denver-based comic.
The Way Out West Theater members served tables, working for tips toward their goal of building a performance venue.
Amy Summit was one of the Way Out West members who served beverages throughout the evening. She said she also enjoyed the show. "I am thrilled that we have headliners like this coming to Sidney."
