The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Thursday, March 19, 2015, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:
Michael Anderson, age 28 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on a charge of theft, a class IV felony. He received five years of Intensive Supervised Probation and was ordered to immediately serve 120 days in jail.
Jimmy Elliott, no age available of Lodgepole, appeared for sentencing on charges of attempted possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver and possession of hashish, both class IV felonies. He received five years of Intensive Supervised Probation.
Briana Sifuentez, age 19 of Sidney, had his status hearing held and a jury trial was scheduled. Jury selection begins May 8 at 3 p.m. The state’s case begins on May 11 at 8:30 a.m.
Gabriel Martinez, age 50 of Longmont, Colo., had his arraignment held. A status hearing is scheduled for May 6 at 9:30 a.m.
The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Thursday, March 19, 2015, before the Honorable Randin Roland:
Lucas Matsuda, age 19 of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, appeared for presentment and a bond review on charges of criminal possession of a forged instrument (cash), a class IV felony. He retained an attorney. Status hearing set for March 23 at 8:30 a.m. Bond was set at $10,000 with 10 percent allowed. He also has pending felony charges in Deuel County for felony marijuana possession and passing counterfeit money.
The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Friday, March 20, 2015, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:
Emmanuel Cabello, age 30 of Alliance, pleaded no contest to attempted possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver or distribute, a class III felony. The court accepted the plea, ordered a pre-sentence investigation and scheduled sentencing for May 6 at 10 a.m.
