Freda Beyer, 97 of Sidney, entered into eternal rest early Sunday morning, March 15, 2015 at Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m., Wed., March 18, 2015 in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sidney with Father Jim Heitoff officiating. Burial followed in the Greenwood Cemetery. A Rosary Service was held at 6 p.m., Tuesday evening at the church.
Friends were able to call from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney.
Memorials have been established to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church or the Donor’s Choice.

Freda E. Beyer, the daughter of John and Emily (Boyer) Kurz was born May 11, 1917 at Sidney, Nebraska. She grew up on the family farm and attended District #36 country school before graduating from St. Patrick’s High School in Sidney in 1935.
On Jan. 29, 1940 she was united in marriage to James F. Beyer at St. Patrick’s. They made their home on a farm west of Sidney, where she still resided at the time of her death.
Freda was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Altar Society where she served a year as president. She had a green thumb and loved tending to her flower garden.
Survivors include six sons: John and wife Liz, Vern and wife Kathy, Joe and wife Tamara, Mike and wife Melinda all of Sidney, Vince of Mound City, Mo. and Pat of Padre Island, TX; two daughters: Nancy and Mary Beyer both of Sidney; three sisters: Josephine Salmonson of East Lansing, Mich. and Dorothy Kettler and Florence Larson both of Sidney; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons: James and Paul; great-grandson Bryson, brothers: Harold, Carl, Kenneth and sister Louise.
