The steel beams that form the bones of the bridge between the new and old Cabela's headquarter buildings were put in place in two days.
Construction on Cabela's new 160,000-square-foot corporate office building is on time and on track for a July move-in date.
On Wednesday afternoon, workers were putting final touches on the steel beams that make up the bones of the enclosed walkway that will connect the new, four-story building with the existing three-story corporate offices.
GE Construction, with its home base in Colorado Springs, is leading the $25 million expansion.
Project engineer James Shepherd said construction inside the building is progressing at a rapid pace.
