Alberta "Belle" Schneider

1926 to 2015

Belle Schneider, 88 of Sidney, was delivered peacefully and quietly to the arms of her Lord and savior Jesus on March 11, 2015 after an extended battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Sat. March 21, 2015 in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney with Pastor David Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

There will be no public viewing at the funeral home; friends who wish can sign the register book on Friday at Holechek Funeral Home.

Memorials have been established to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Activities.

Alberta B. "Belle" Schneider was born on May 18, 1926 in Sidney, to Frank Ridgeway and Janna (Scharrel) Fletcher. Belle devoted her life to being a homemaker and mother and worked briefly at Memorial Hospital.

She graduated from Lodgepole High School in 1944 and attended Chadron State College that same summer. Belle was confirmed in the Lodgepole Lutheran Church in 1945.

On Oct. 8, 1945, she married Lewis W. Schneider and they spent most of their lives together in Sidney.

She is survived by her son Tim and wife Nancy of Las Vegas, NV; grandsons Chris and Matt, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and several cousins.

Belle Schneider was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, her parents and her brother William.
