The following person appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Monday, March 2, 2015, before the Honorable Randin R. Roland:
Gabriel Martinez, age 50 of Longmont, Colo., appeared for a preliminary hearing on two counts of Enticement by Electronic Communication Device, a class IV felony. One of the counts was dismissed. On the remaining count, the court found that it appeared the offense was committed, and that there is probable cause to believe that the defendant committed it. Bond was set $50,000, with the statutory right to post 10 percent cash. Arraignment is District Court is scheduled for March 19 at 11 a.m..
The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:
Aaron Timmons, age 28 formerly of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Theft, a class III felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to an amended charge of Theft as a class IV felony. As part of that agreement, Timmons agreed to pay more than $8,000 to the U.S. Forest Service as restitution. Judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation report. Sentencing set for May 12 at 10:15 a.m.
Joseph Medina, age 39 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine, a class IV felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Methamphetamine, a class I misdemeanor. A pre-sentencing Investigation was ordered. Sentencing set for April 14 at 10 a.m.
Leland Alexander age 52 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Methamphetamine, a class I Misdemeanor. He received 90 days in jail.
Jamie Holtz, age 28 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of Distribution of Marijuana, a class III felony. He received 18 days in jail, five years of Intensive Supervised Probation, a $1,000 fine plus 200 hours of community service.
Josh Curry, age 30 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of Attempted Violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act, a class I misdemeanor. He received 12 months probation plus a $1,000 fine.
Anthony Kuhns, age 26 of Kimball, appeared for arraignment on charges of Identity Theft and Criminal Impersonation, both class III felonies. Prior to arraignment, the defense filed a plea in abatement. Status hearing set for April 14.
The following person appeared in Kimball County District Court on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:
Shawn Mannon, age 38 of Kimball, appeared for arraignment on three counts of Delivering Methamphetamine, which two of the counts are class II felonies and one is a class ID felony since it is alleged that the delivery took place within 1,000 feet of a playground. Status hearing is May 5 at 1:30 p.m.
