Leyton Middle students explore world of science

GURLEY, Neb. – The Leyton Middle School held its annual science fair Thursday afternoon.
The sixth- through eighth-grade students presented their projects and demonstrations to the judges. Each class had a first-, second- and third-place winner.
The overall science fair winner was eighth-grader Shelby Miller. Here are the grade-by-grade honorees:
6th-grade winners
1st place: Dominic Russ
2nd place: Jillian Ehlers
3rd place: Colvin Ladley
7th-grade winners
1st place: Megan Ernest
2nd place: Cassidee Murray
3rd place: Madelyn Watchorn
8th-grade winners
1st place: Shelby Miller
2nd place: Danielle Higgins
3rd place: Destinee Henke
