The Nebraska Master Gardener Program is offering classes for those interested in horticulture on Tuesday nights through March 10 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Western Nebraska Community College’s Sidney campus. Friday, Feb. 20

Pairs-N-Half-Pairs Square Dance Club will have a Round Dance party at the IOOF Hall in Gering. Carry-in dinner at 6 p.m. Round dance from 7 to 9 p.m. All levels of round dancers are invited to attend the party. Lucky will be calling.

Saturday, Feb. 21

The Sidney Public Library will be hold a class on the art of “Zentangles” on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 10 a.m.-noon. Local artist Cindi Egging will teach the class for ages 10 and older Call 254-3110 to register, as space is limited.

Caryl Guisinger, the general manager of the Nebraska Food Cooperative, will discuss how to make “local food” connections at an NFC informational meeting on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 4:45-6 p.m. at the Shelter House in Legion Park, 2301 Legion Park Road, Sidney. Sunday, Feb. 22

The Nancy Fawcett Memorial Library in Lodgepole will hold a book reading that includes cookies and hot chocolate on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.

Senior Citizen and Friends Dance will be held at the Cheyenne County Community Center on Sunday, Feb. 22nd from 2-5 p.m. Music by Paul and Stan.

Kimball Promenaders Square Dance Club will have a regular dance in the old 4-H building in Kimball from 4 to 6 p.m. The caller is Roger Shappell.

Tuesday, Feb. 24

The Creek Valley FFA will hold an Agriculture Appreciation Breakfast on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 7-8:30 a.m. at the Ag building.

The Sidney Public Library will be again be offering the “Together is Fun” program for youth kindergarten through 6th grade, Tuesday, Feb. 24. This program will begin at 4 p.m. and last approximately one hour. This program is free.

Elizabeth Gwin, a dental hygienist from the dental office of Scott Van Noy, D.D.S., will discuss periodontal disease and general oral health for individuals with diabetes on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. Regional West Medical Plaza South, room 1202, Scottsbluff. Lifetree Café will host a program on how to overcome economic, racial and other divisions on Tuesday, March 3 at 6:30 p.m. The program, titled “Coming Together: Finding Common Ground When It Seems Impossible,” features a screening of the lighthearted, award-winning South African short film “Kanyekanye.” Admission to the 60-minute event is free.
