The Nebraska Master Gardener Program is offering classes for those interested in horticulture on Tuesday nights, from Feb. 3 through March 10 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Western Nebraska Community College’s Sidney campus. Class topics include: water wise landscapes, tree pruning, beneficial insects and insect pests, wildlife damage and more. Participants must pre-register for the classes. The Sidney Public Library will be hold a class on the art of “Zentangles” on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 10 a.m.-noon. Local artist Cindi Egging will teach the class for ages 10 and older Call 254-3110 to register, as space is limited.

The Creek Valley FFA will hold an Agriculture Appreciation Breakfast on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 7-8:30 a.m. at the Ag building.
The Sidney Public Library will be again be offering the “Together is Fun” program for youth kindergarten through 6th grade, Tues., Feb. 24. This program will begin at 4 p.m. and last approximately one hour. Come enjoy the fun and fellowship! This program is free of charge.

Lifetree Café will host a program on how to overcome economic, racial and other divisions on Tuesday, March 3 at 6:30 p.m. The program, titled “Coming Together: Finding Common Ground When It Seems Impossible,” features a screening of the lighthearted, award-winning South African short film “Kanyekanye.” Admission to the 60-minute event is free.
