Court Briefs 02-06-15

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:

Aaron Timmons, age 28 formerly of Sidney, appeared for a status on a charge of Theft, a class III felony. Status hearing continued to March 4 at 9:30 a.m.

Joseph Medina, age 39 of Sidney, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Meth, a class IV felony. Status hearing set for March 4 at 9:30 a.m.

Cynthia Grant, age 44 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on an amended charge of Attempted Distribution of Marijuana, a class IV Felony. She received four years probation with waivable jail time.

Cynthia Grant, age 44 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on an amended charge of Attempted Possession of Hash, a class I Misdemeanor. She received four years probation – concurrent with the IV felony charge.

Matthew Hopkins, age 31 of Holdredge, appeared for sentencing on a charge of 3rd Degree Domestic Assault, class I misdemeanor. He received 180 days in jail with credit for three days.

Judy Aguas, age 28 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of Aiding and Abetting Theft, a class III felony. She pled guilty to an amended charge of Aiding and Abetting Theft, a class IV felony. PSI ordered.

The following people appeared in Deuel County District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, before the Honorable Derek Weimer:

Jason Vogt, age 30 of Chappell, appeared for a status hearing on a charge of Possession of Meth with Intent to Deliver within 1,000 feet of a school zone, a class ID felony. Status hearing set for March 2 and jury trial set for April 22-23. Bond reduced to $50,000 with 10 percent allowed.
