The Unboxed Theater Workshop will be held on Jan. 30 from 7-9 p.m. at the Sidney Fine Arts Center Performance Hall. An introduction to independent theater productions and a historical review of Commedia Delle’ Arte are planned.
Saturday, Jan. 31
The Missoula Children’s Theater production of “The Wizard of Oz” will held Saturday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. at the Sidney High School Fine Arts Center. (1100 19th Ave.) Two actor/coaches along with 60-70 local students in grades K-12 will bring the Wizard of Oz to life. Tickets sold at the high school.
The Crane Trust will hold a volunteer training session on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for people interested in serving as guides for viewing blind tours during the 2015 Spring Crane Migration. It will be held at the Crane Trust Nature and Visitor Center, located on the south side of Interstate 80 at the Alda Exit (#305). RSVP to Karen Krull Robart at (308) 384.4633 ext. 5 no later than Friday, Jan. 16th. A light lunch will be served.

4-H 101: Learn how to make the most of you and your child’s 4-H experience. Cheyenne County Fairgrounds on Monday, Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. Activities for youth will be available. The quarterly meeting of the Nebraska Leafy Spurge Working Task Force will be held Thursday, Feb. 5 at 12:30 p.m. at the North Central NE RC&D office in Bassett, Neb. The meeting is open to the public.

The Nebraska Master Gardener Program is offering classes for those interested in horticulture on Tuesday nights, from Feb. 3 through March 10 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Western Nebraska Community College’s Sidney campus. Class topics include: water wise landscapes, tree pruning, beneficial insects and insect pests, wildlife damage and more. Participants must pre-register for the classes.
