Six students prevailed as finalists at the Leyton Spelling Bee held on Thursday in the Gurley site gym.
Each of the six are eligible to compete in the Cheyenne County Spelling Bee at West Elementary School in Sidney on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 12:45 p.m. Pictured from left are: D.J. George, 8th grade; Jonathan Borges, 5th grade; Kaitlyn Jones, 5th grade; Dominick Russ, 6th grade; Brayden Hale, 5th grade; and Hannah Vath, 6th grade. Vath is a repeat champion from last year.
