Despite a game-high 18 points from senior Kaitlyn Berner, the Leyton Lady Warriors (3-5, 2-1) dropped a 45-31 decision to the Haxtun (Colo.) Bulldogs (3-3) on Tuesday night in Haxtun.
The Warriors got off to a slow start with just two points in the opening quarter. They trailed 23-10 at the half. Though the teams played to nearly a standstill in the final 16 minutes, Leyton never recovered from its slow start.
