Life-sized nutcrackers stand guard in Hickory Square as setup begins for the Christmas Kickoff to be held Nov. 29 from 12:30 to 8 p.m. The kickoff will include a mini train ride, a parade of lights and the lighting of the Christmas tree with Santa.
