Grant applications being accepted for foundation

The C.A. Story Foundation is accepting applications for 2014 grants The foundation was funded by C.A. Story, a former insurance and real estate businessman from Sidney.

The application deadline is Nov. 15.

Applicants for the grant must be a benevolent nonprofit organization – a 501(c)(3) as defined by the Internal Revenue Service code – and must provide a Federal Identification number, plus proof of eligibility under the code.

Applicants must also reside in on of the following western Nebraska counties: Cheyenne, Deuel, Kimball, Banner, Morrill, Garden, Scottsbluff, Box Butte, Sioux, Dawes or Sheridan.

The distribution of funds will be made in late December. Application forms are available through the foundation’s secretary, Marilyn Moncrief, at P.O. Box 351, Sidney, Neb., 69162.
