Saturday, Oct. 18

The Panhandle Quilt Guild will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Bridgeport on Oct. 18, 2014. Coffee is at 9 a.m. The program will be “Does It Pinterest You?” presented by Heather Harsh and Susan Simmons. The class “Take Four Placemats” will be taught after the meeting.

The quilting class, “Take Four Placemats” will be offered to the public at the Panhandle Quilt Guild meeting at the First Baptist Church, Bridgeport, on Oct. 18. For information and to register, please contact Susan Simmons at 631-6027 or Lorie Sanders at 631-6527.

Pairs-N-Half-A-Pair Square Dance Club will have a PLUS Dance on Sat., Oct. 18 with Lucky calling at the IOOF Hall, 800 N Street in Gering from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Snack afterward.

Sunday, Oct. 19

You Are Invited! We will be blessing those who work as public servants (i.e. school personnel, firefighters,  police officers, city officials, health care workers, etc.) at our worship services on Sun.,

Oct. 19th. We would like to invite you to come and be a part of our celebration. We worship at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with coffee and snacks after each worship service. We hope that you can join us at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (at the corner of Lodgepole and San Marino Rd).

Tuesday, Oct. 21

Cheyenne County 4-H Clover Kids - Clover Kids is a 4-H program that allows children ages 5 to 8 (K through 3rd grades)​ to participate in hands-on activities designed to build life skills. Meetings will begin on Tues., Oct. 21st at the Cheyenne County Community Center from 3:45 to 5 p.m. and will continue on the third Tuesday of the month. There is a registration fee. Cheyenne County Young Professionals Event on Tues., Oct. 21, Buffalo Point Restaurant, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with complimentary appetizers and cash bar available. Guest speaker will be Tommy Millner, CEO Cabela’s. St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Annual Trunk-or-Treat will be held on Sun., Oct. 26 at the St. Paul’s Education Building (15th & Osage). Wear your costume and trick-or-treat in a fun, safe, and family oriented environment from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Join us for a chili feed, cake walk, games, and fellowship. Kids of all ages are welcome!

The First United Methodist Church will be holding our 5th Annual Community Trunk-n-Treat on Sun., Oct. 26 in the church parking lot (2622 11th Ave.). Come dressed up (non scary) from 1p.m. to 3 p.m.  to go from decorated Trunk to Trunk and join us for an afternoon of fun for the children of the community. We will have candy, snacks, games for the children. We also invite anyone who would like to join in the fun too, to decorate your trunk bring candy to pass out. Tuesday, Oct. 28

Attention all Chamber Members…you are invited to a tour of our community on Tues., Oct. 28th to learn about what’s going on in our area.  Gary Person will explain the new projects along the way.  The tour will be of the Sidney area, including the Industrial Park northwest of town.  The bus will be provided by Sidney Public Schools, boarding at WNCC, leaving at 12 p.m. sharp and returning by 2 p.m. A sack lunch will be provided by WNCC, so please RSVP by Oct. 23rd to the Chamber at (308) 254-5851

Friday, Oct. 31st - Halloween

The City of Sidney’s Trick-Or-Treat Halloween Festival will be held on Fri., Oct. 31st in Hickory Street Square. Trick-Or-Treat, Best Costume Prize and more will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information or to help hand out candy call 308-254-7846.

Thurs., Nov. 20

Cancer Survivor Support Group meets every third Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dorwart Cancer Care Center. Great topics and food. Call Leslie @ 250-1113 if questions.
