The Sidney High cross country teams came close to sweeping three consecutive meets on Monday in Kearney. The boys placed second overall with a score of 90, while the girls took first with an impressive score of 38.
Out of a field of 208 male runners, senior Jachob Wiedeburg came in with a time of 18:15, good for 14th place overall which led the Sidney boys. Senior Hayden Lieneman finished 21st at 18:36, while senior Brody McKnight followed just two seconds behind Lieneman for 22nd place.
