Court Briefs 09-23-14

The following people appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014 before the Honorable Randin Roland:

Jose Rios, age 24 of Sidney, appeared for presentment on a charge of Possession of Meth. A class IV felony. He stated he’d retain an attorney.

Shane Carey, age 23 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of False Reporting and Theft. A class I and II misdemeanor; respectively. Pursuant to a plea agreement he pled guilty to the False Reporting and the Theft was dismissed. Sentencing scheduled for Oct. 24.

Joshua Arellano, age 21 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI 1st Offense. A class W misdemeanor. He pled guilty and received 6 months probation, a $500 fine plus court costs.

Mario Villages-Sanchez, age 27 of Sidney, appeared for presentment on a charge of Criminal Impersonation. A class IV felony. He requested an attorney. Preliminary hearing set for Oct. 3 at 10 a.m.

Joey Nelson, age 40 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI 1st High Test. A class W misdemeanor. He appeared w/ counsel. Pursuant to a plea agreement he pled guilty to an amended charge of DUI 1st Offense. A class W misdemeanor. He received 6 months probation, $500 fine and was ordered to pay court costs.

Andrea Mikkelson, age 26 of Sidney, appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI-D (marijuana) 1st Offense. A class W misdemeanor. She requested counsel. Entry of Plea set for Oct. 14.

Dallas Reihman, age 23 of Chappell, appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI 1st Offense and Refusal of a Chemical Test. Both class W misdemeanors. He requested an attorney. Entry of Plea set for Oct. 14.

Jose Rios, age 23 of Sidney, appeared for presentment on a charge of Possession of Meth. A class IV felony. He requested counsel. Status hearing scheduled for Oct. 3.

Marcus Cumbie, age 23 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on a charge of Domestic 3rd Degree Assault. A class I misdemeanor. Sentencing has been continued to Oct. 14.

Gavin Batty, age 37 of Sterling, Colo., appeared for arraignment on a charge of DUI 1st Offense. A class W misdemeanor. Entry of Plea has been set for Oct. 14.

David Berry, age 30 of Gering, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of DUI 3rd Offense. A class W misdemeanor. Pre-trial conference has been scheduled for Oct. 27.

Adrian Young, age 34 of Sidney, appeared for sentencing on a charge of DUI 1st Offense. A class W misdemeanor. He received six months probation, $500 fine and court costs.

Tyler Pena, age 20 of Sidney, appeared for entry of plea on a charge of Criminal Trespass 1st Degree. A class I misdemeanor. Pre-trial conference set for Oct. 14.
