Pairs-N-Half-A-Pair Square Dance Club would like to invite people interested in square dancing to come to the IOOF hall at 800 N Street, Gering at 6 p.m. for a potluck supper. New lesson people do not need to contribute to the meal. The introductory dancing is free. A regular mainstream dance will follow until 9 p.m.

Peetz Glow For It Run

1 Mile & 5K on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, 7:30 p.m. at the Peetz School Bus Barn.

Cabela’s Campfire Award Golf Tournament will be held Sunday, Sept. 14 at Hillside Golf Course, with a shot gun start at noon.

All proceeds go to Kids Plus, a nonprofit organization which helps at-risk youth and provides educational programs. Hole-in-one prizes will be awarded for various holes throughout the course, including vacation packages, online shopping sprees, and a 2014 Chevy Malibu. Groups smaller than four will be merged to make four-person teams. Door prizes and lunch will be provided.
