Construction as part of the Fort Sidney Road improvement project is going to make traveling that route a little slower in the next two months.
Beginning Tuesday, the existing asphalt will be removed and replaced with a new surface from Highway 30 to 11th Avenue. There will be some additional replacement of the roadway at the intersections of Fort Sidney Road with College, Deaver and Parkland drives. Additionally, access to College Drive will be maintained at all times with closures planned for Deaver and Parkland drives.
Traffic on Fort Sidney Road will be maintained at all times but will be limited to a single lane during much of the construction. Flaggers will be present to control traffic flows during the project.
Anyone with questions regarding this project can contact Public Services Director John Hehnke at the city’s administrative offices at 254-5300 or by email at [email protected]
